About the Lintel template

Built for mortgage brokers and loan officers

Lintel suits one loan officer or independent broker, usually with a processor, who arranges purchase, refinance and investment loans. Borrowers see who they'll deal with, how to ask a question and that you're licensed.

What's on the site

  • Home: a house photo with an inquiry card, your loan types, why use a broker, sample reviews and your latest articles
  • About: your story, what you do differently, and you and your processor, with your phone and email
  • Loans: five loan types as tabs
  • Our Partners: the agents, attorneys and advisers you refer clients to
  • Articles: posts with their own pages
  • Contact: your email and phone beside the inquiry form
  • Disclosures: sample wording on your licenses, how you're paid, that a pre-approval isn't a commitment to lend, Equal Housing Opportunity, complaints and privacy

What to know

The forms ask for a name, email and message and run no credit; as it ships there is no rate feed, payment calculator or loan application. License numbers, reviews, partners and photos are samples to replace, and your compliance contact should read the Disclosures page.

When to pick something else

Lintel is the wrong template for these. Where there is a better one, it is linked.

  • Bank or credit union with branches, rate tables and online applications
  • Fee-only financial planner or wealth manager advising on investments — try Ballast
  • Real estate law firm with several attorneys and practice areas — try Proviso
  • Real estate agent or brokerage listing homes for sale
  • Insurance agency quoting home and auto cover
  • Freelance bookkeeper or accountant keeping the books for sole traders — try Plumbline
  • Freelance developer selling API integrations, workflow automation, AI prototypes or scoped pilots — try Dossier
  • A site that needs a live rate feed, a loan application portal or document uploads

Questions about Lintel

Where do my NMLS number and disclosures go?

Your NMLS number and the brokerage's appear in the footer of every page, yours appears again under your photo on the About page, and the Disclosures page has sections for licensing, how you're paid, the fact that a pre-approval isn't a commitment to lend, Equal Housing Opportunity, complaints and privacy. They ship as placeholders and sample wording: put in your real numbers and have your compliance contact check the text before you publish.

Can visitors apply for a loan or see today's rates?

Not as it ships: there is no loan application, document upload, rate feed or payment calculator. The inquiry card on the home page asks for a name, email, the loan type (first-time buying, moving up, refinancing, investment or self-employed) and an optional note; the Contact page's form adds an optional phone number. Both land in your Sitelas inbox, and you can link to your lender's application from your reply or a button.
