This policy explains how to cancel a paid Sitelas subscription, how to get a refund, and what happens to your site afterward. It supplements our Terms of Service.
Our order process is conducted by our authorized reseller, Polar (polar.sh). Polar is the reseller and Merchant of Record for all Sitelas orders — it processes payments, collects and remits any applicable sales tax or VAT, issues approved refunds, and provides first-tier billing support.
If you are not satisfied with a paid Sitelas subscription, you may request a full refund within 30 days of the charge. No justification is required.
This guarantee is in addition to — and never limits — any statutory rights you have under applicable consumer law (see “Statutory rights” below).
Email contact@sitelas.com with the email address used at checkout, or manage your order through the Polar customer portal linked from your receipt — as Merchant of Record, Polar handles billing and returns on our behalf, reachable at polar.sh.
Approved refunds are issued by Polar to your original payment method, normally within 14 days of approval.
One-time AI credit top-ups are covered by the same 30-day window: any unused purchased balance is refundable within 30 days of purchase. Credits already consumed are not refundable, because the AI service they paid for has already been delivered. Credits you buy do not expire.
The AI credits given to every account at signup work differently. They are a free one-time grant rather than a purchase, so they have no cash value and are not refundable or exchangeable. They also do not expire and are not tied to any plan: whatever is left of them stays spendable, whether or not you ever subscribe, and cancelling a subscription does not remove them.
You may cancel a paid site subscription at any time from your dashboard, or via the Polar customer portal linked from your receipt. Upon cancellation:
Nothing in this policy affects your rights under applicable consumer law. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content or services within 14 days. These rights apply in addition to the 30-day guarantee above, and are honoured by Polar as Merchant of Record.
If a scheduled payment fails, paid features remain active for a three-day grace period during which we retry the charge and notify you. If the payment cannot be collected within that window, the site automatically downgrades to Free — your content stays published under Free-tier limits.
